life update

If I sent this to you I specifically wanted you to read it.

Hey

So, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how I need to be better about staying in touch with my people—family, friends, everyone who’s been in my corner. If you know me, you already know that Veii has been my brainchild for almost six years now. It can get lonely sometimes. But I’m lucky to have a strong Tribe around me, and if you’re reading this, you’re part of that.

I figured I should make it easier to keep up with me, so I’ve decided to send out email updates every now and then to let you know what’s going on in my life, the good and the bad, and everything in between.

Honestly? Life’s been whooping my ass lately. About a year ago, I moved out of my townhome and into my warehouse/studio where I keep all my Veii inventory and grind away at the business. That was a low point. It felt like everything was crashing down at once, and I had no control of my life:

  1. The business was failing

  2. My personal relationships weren’t great.

  3. I was just trying to juggle way too much.

Fast forward a year, and I’ve made some real progress—personally and with Veii. But weirdly enough, I’m kind of back in a similar spot, only it’s different. The business is not doing the best currently, but it’s because we doubled in size from last year, and now I’m fighting to keep things financially afloat and keep steering the ship forward. On the personal side, I feel even more isolated. I’ve been on this path that requires me to shut out a lot of noise, whether it’s good or bad.

But it’s not all bad

  • I’m more confident than ever that I can turn Veii into a billion-dollar brand.

  • I’m making an effort to stay connected with the people I care about—like through this update and more regular calls and texts.

  • I’ve been living super minimally for the past year, and it’s put me in the right mindset—physically, mentally, spiritually to keep pushing forward.

So yeah, that’s where I’m at. Thanks for checking in.
